Long time no blog...

So it's been a hell of a long time since I updated and I saw that Kat had written a blog so it's time for my update! :)

So what can I say...what has happened since the last blog? Well it was my birthday on the 29th of September. It was absolutely fantastic. I didn't really have any expectations, infact I thought it was gonna be really shit if truth be told. It was one of the best birthdays ever. I got flowers sent to me at work, my desk was decorated, got sent lots of birthday cards (which are still up in my house) and we got Dominos pizza for lunch and a caterpillar cake :)

My parents got me the most amazing present, a personalised number plate. My boss was rather jealous and tried it on his car...

Other than that not much else has happened! I have spent most of my time with this fool

He's a proper idiot but he's the best :) Infact in other news I have booked my train ticket up to Scotland and Adam's coming with me. Glad I've got some company on the train cause god knows how badly it will be delayed! I've already started my Christmas shopping too :)

Work has been rather hectic, currently we are very very busy BUT I am enjoying it, better busy then bored!

Ok I'm done with this update... may write some more later but I have Bekka round at the moment and we're watching Sex and the City :)

Updataytay.

Hello there. So I haven't really blogged in a while...

It's mainly because I've been super busy to be honest! Let's start with work life.

Work is going grand, it's been hectic but sometimes it's better that way! A couple of projects I've had on the go have been completed and they're some of the best work I've done. Firstly was the Speech Day Programme for Nottingham High School.

This one was a biggie, massive client and a project which spanned a couple of months. The end product was incredible though and I'm extremely proud of it.

Secondly was poster/banner designs for The Cornerhouse. Anyone that follows me on twitter or facebook will be SICK of me going on about it but I am genuinely in love with this piece of work. The Cornerhouse is a massive landmark building in the centre of Nottingham, if you've visited Notts you'll probably have walked past or visited it, it's probably the equivalent of The Trinity Centre in Aberdeen. With that in mind I had work spanning 3 floors of the Cornerhouse facing the theatre. The project also included a few poster designs and the ticket design. SO PROUD

So work has been brilliant, can't knock it! Thankfully I have a day off on Friday though...I need a long weekend! We've also had a new student placement start the other week, his name is Chris Broomhead. He's fitting in nicely and it will be nice to see how to gets on over the next few weeks. Another 10 weeker like I was!

Right so...personal life. A few things have been going on I guess. If you refer to my previous post then there's the biggie :) I've got myself a rather lovely boyfriend called Adam Richmond. He likes shit movies, driving round at ridiculous hours of the nights and cuts his pizza with scissors...so he's pretty awesome! I'm going to see the show he's in this week, "Half a Sixpence". Hopefully he survives the week as he has 7 shows over 6 days and work on top of that!

Other than that other news this month includes:

I bought a £9 haircut from KGB Deals.

I am currently listening to One Direction...

I have sung the whole High School Musical 3 soundtrack with Adam.

I got my Hogwarts letter from Katharine.

It is my birthday in TWO DAYS.

This weekend...

From Thursday till today I've had an absolutely lovely few days :)

I'm a rather happy person right now due to a few new friends and one certain person.

Skype

I just had a rather long and lovely Skype chat with my friend Katharine. She is one of my best friends but we live so far apart now so it was nice to see her face again :) Apart from her screenshotting me eating a carrot it was awesome to have visual interaction. I got a tour of her new flat and she got one of mine (so far the only person who hasn't been down here to see the inside of my flat because I still haven't posted any pictures 4 months later!). I also got to speak to Kenny which was lovely as I haven't spoken to him in months!

Skype is such a lovely tool and I hope that I can Skype with a lot more people soon! It's so much easier than messaging people online, I seem to be rubbish at that. I'm a lot better at talking to people in person/face to face/skype.

Special K Diet

I've been looking for a way to lose a bit of weight. Now I'm not exactly rolling in the dollah, so I can't afford to buy lots of healthy food. It's a fact that healthy food is god damn expensive! I wanted to find something that also fitted around a busy schedule at work and I could bring in for my lunch. Then it hit me! The Special K diet! Perfect way to lose weight effectively, I could easily bring it in for lunch time as it requires no preperation, it's not expensive.

So I've started this diet today and hopefully will run it for a month rather than 2 weeks. I'm thinking the plan goes like this most days

• Bowl of Special K for breakfast

• Piece of fruit for morning snack

• Bowl of Special K for lunch

• Yogurt for afternoon snack

• Soup or something similar for dinner

• Another yogurt for evening snack

This is what I had today and hopefully I'll be able to keep it up. There will be off days where pizza may sneak into dinner time but I honestly don't mind, it's got to be better than my previous eating habits! I'll let you know how it goes. I don't have scales but if I do feel thinner/healthier at the end of this then that's even better.
